Matt Armstrong, MA

Matt holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. As a counsellor, he maintains an integrative approach, drawing from theories of trauma, attachment, and family systems. Yet, he tailors his approach to the specific goals and strengths of each individual client. Matt also has additional training in Observed and Experiential Integration (OEI), which is a body-based trauma processing therapy.

Matt’s areas of practice including working with adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, early childhood relational trauma, PTSD, grief and loss, burnout & stress, behavioral addictions (pornography, gaming, stress eating), and life transitions. Matt is passionate about people and the discovery of what makes us human. He believes that as humans we have a natural desire and ability to grow, but often require the support of one another to become unstuck and heal. So, he strives to create meaningful relationships with his clients built on safety, trust, and hope, where people feel accepted and challenged to grow.
